Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Two-factor authentication (2FA), sometimes called two-step verification, is a security process where you provide two different factors to verify your identity. This better protects your credentials and the resources you can access.

Users of Debitum are requested to set up their 2FA when they log in.

Important: While setting up your 2FA, please save the unique identifier (recovery code). You will need this code to log in if you switch devices or delete the authenticator app.

You can use the Debitum platform without enabling two-factor authentication. However, you can also disable 2FA at any time by going to your account settings and turning off the two-factor authentication toggle.

If you are locked out of your account because you lost your device or deleted the authenticator app, please contact our support team and send a selfie with your identity document next to your face for assistance with resetting your 2FA.
