Debitum continues to strengthen its governance and internal control framework by expanding its leadership team with experienced professionals in risk management and compliance.
The company has appointed Andis Rožkalns as Chief Risk Officer and Kalvis Bambals as Chief Compliance and Legal Officer. Both appointments have been approved by Latvijas Banka, ensuring full regulatory alignment.
In his role, Andis Rožkalns focuses on further developing the platform’s risk management framework, strengthening internal control systems, and improving risk assessment processes across the platform and its partners.
He brings extensive experience from an international construction company, where he led cross-border projects, as well as a strong background in building company-wide risk management systems, business continuity planning, and improving operational efficiency. His expertise contributes to stronger control environments and more consistent risk management across the platform.
Kalvis Bambals leads compliance and legal functions, focusing on regulatory alignment and enhancing internal procedures. His background includes financial services compliance, regulatory advisory, and AML frameworks, including leading compliance assessments, remediation projects, and the development of internal control systems within regulated environments. These additions further strengthen Debitum ability to manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance and provide a secure and reliable investment environment for investors.
