Keeping your investment account secure is our top priority. And having full control of this security now becomes even easier.

That’s why Debitum has improved the two-factor authentication (2FA) setup. The updated flow gives you clearer instructions on why 2FA matters and how to enable it, making it easier to secure your account from the start.

Why a clearer 2FA setup on Debitum matters?

When setting up 2FA, you’ll now get more guidance throughout the process. You’ll be shown what to do and why this additional security layer is recommended.

2FA adds another step to the login process. After entering your password, you also enter a unique, time-sensitive code generated by an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

This means that even if someone gets hold of your password, they would still need access to your second authentication factor to log in, making your account more secure.

Is 2FA on Debitum mandatory?

We want investors to make informed choices about their accounts.

That’s why 2FA remains optional on Debitum. However, the new improvements make the recommended security measure easier to understand without adding unnecessary friction.

During setup, remember to save your recovery code. You may need it if you change your device or lose access to your authenticator app.

One more step towards a better investor experience

This update is part of the broader improvements we’re making to Debitum onboarding – keeping the process clear and straightforward while maintaining the security investors expect.

You can learn more about Debitum 2FA and what to do if you have trouble logging in in our 2FA and login FAQ.
