The "Underlying Asset" field on the asset details page describes the collateral or guarantees that the final borrower provides to the Loan Originator to secure the loan.
Debitum recognizes the following collateral types:
STOCK: The borrower has pledged the company's stock as collateral.
GUARANTEE: A guarantee (from the company or an individual) to repay the loan in full.
PROPERTY: The borrower has pledged company or personal property (real estate) as collateral.
INVENTORY: The borrower has pledged inventory (supplies) as collateral.
INVOICE: The borrower has passed over invoices for services rendered or products provided (common in factoring).
PROMISSORY NOTE: A financial instrument where one party promises in writing to pay a determinate sum of money to the other party under specific terms.
