Looking back at INVEST Stuttgart 2026

Debitum in Germany

For the second year in a row, we packed our bags and headed to INVEST Stuttgart 2026. Debitum was part of the Latvian delegation, sharing a stand with other fixed-income platforms: Mintos, Indemo, Lande, Nectaro, Twino and ViaInvest. There is a lot of experience and quiet expertise coming out of the Baltics in this space. Conversations with fellow platforms were just as valuable as those with investors. Different perspectives, but clearly the same direction.

A big thank you to the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) for bringing it all together and making the stand happen.

So how did it go for us?

One of the highlights was meeting our investors face-to-face. Some came with questions, others with suggestions. Some just wanted to understand how we work. As Debitum lead Ingus Salmiņš put it: “It’s a different experience seeing who is actually behind the platform. It gives you a new perspective when you meet your audience in real life. There were a lot of genuinely valuable insights for me – and that is the part you can’t replicate online.”

This year wasn’t only about conversations at the booth. Latvia (and fixed income as a whole) made it to the main stage. A big thank you to Aleks Antero Bleck, one of Germany’s strongest financial voices, for representing Latvian platforms for the second year in a row. And it was great to see Lennard Kleine Niesse join this year as well. Together, they delivered a keynote to hundreds of listeners – bringing fixed-income investing further into the spotlight and reinforcing a simple idea: diversification matters.

We understand that ETFs play a major role in modern portfolios – and they should. But what we also see is curiosity. At the event, many investors showed genuine interest in areas like agriculture and real-economy investing – asking how it works, what stands behind it, and how to evaluate it properly. That’s where we see our role: not just offering investments, but helping people understand them.

What did we take away from this year?

Don’t wait for next year to meet us. Of course, we hope to meet even more of you at INVEST next year. But there is no need to wait. Recently, investors like Lars Wrobbel and Aleks Antero Bleck visited us in person, took a closer look at how the Latvian Forest Development Fund operates, and saw the deals behind the platform.
So if you’re curious – you are always welcome to come and see it for yourself.
