Debitum 2025 review

2025 was a year where Debitum focused on strengthening what matters most – a strong platform, transparent investing experience and real-economy opportunities for our investors. Every improvement we made followed one clear idea: every block we build must create real, long-term value.

A year of strong and measurable growth

2025 delivered clear progress across all key metrics. Total invested capital reached €167.9 million, while outstanding investments grew to €53.2 millionalmost doubling compared to the previous year. Our investor base expanded to 29 158 registered users, reflecting growing trust in the platform. Investors earned €9 million in paid interest during the year, with the average interest rate increasing to 11.40%. These results were driven by better diversification, stronger financing partners and continuous platform improvements.

Expanding diversification through real-economy partners

We started the year strong by introducing Latvian Forest and Development Fund, which became our largest financing partner and added forestry-backed exposure to investor portfolios. We closed the year by welcoming Baltic Terra, an agricultural land investment fund, expanding access to another tangible real-economy asset class.

A clearer, smarter investing experience

  • We introduced a redesigned Overview page, giving investors a clearer snapshot of portfolio performance, historical growth and what drives returns. XIRR became a core metric, offering a more accurate view of real performance over time.
  • My portfolio page brought deeper insight – interactive earnings charts, detailed performance metrics, portfolio comparisons and a clear view of accumulated interest and Loyalty rewards. It turned data into actionable insight.
  • We completed the cycle with a refreshed My Balance page, offering cleaner structure and easier access to account statements and agreements.

Loyalty program – rewarding consistency and engagement

In October we launched Debitum Loyalty program, creating additional ways for investors to grow their returns. Investors can progress through loyalty tiers either by growing their portfolio or by inviting friends to join the platform. Rewards include Loyalty boosts, referral bonuses and quarterly top-ups.
The program was designed to be flexible – rewarding long-term commitment while supporting community-driven growth.

Stronger compliance with a smoother experience

Compliance remained a priority throughout 2025. We completed a major upgrade of the Suitability and Appropriateness Questionnaire (SAQ), reducing it from over 40 questions to 19 while maintaining full MiFID II compliance. Smarter logic, clearer financial assessment and automated safeguards improved both usability and investor protection.

We also reworked KYC and AML processes, making onboarding faster without compromising regulatory standards.

Stronger core – infrastructure upgrade

Not all improvements are visible on the screen, but they power everything behind it. In November we completed a major infrastructure upgrade, partnering with a new provider to improve platform stability, scalability and security. The system adapts automatically during peak demand, reduces downtime and enables real-time monitoring. This upgrade is part of our alignment with Digital Operational Resilience (DORA) principles, ensuring Debitum can withstand and recover from digital disruptions. For investors, this means fewer interruptions, faster recovery and a platform built for long-term reliability.

Leadership transition and a stronger team

2025 also marked an important leadership milestone. As part of a planned long-term strategy, Ingus Salmiņš consolidated ownership, while Anatolijs Putna continued leading Debitum as CEO. This transition strengthened alignment between leadership, ownership and execution. Together with our team, this focus translated into measurable results – platform upgrades, operational improvements and sustained growth throughout the year.

Profitability and sustainable operations

Alongside growth, Debitum increased profitability compared to the previous year. Disciplined cost management, stronger partnerships and operational efficiency ensured the platform remains well-positioned to invest in future development. Profitability supports stability – and stability supports investor confidence.

In 2026 we will keep growing and diversifying, strengthening compliance and making investing clearer and more transparent for our investors.
Step by step, we will continue building Debitum so you can grow your portfolio with confidence in the real economy. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
